Is there anything we can do to make our photo shoot a success?

I have a pre photo chat with you over the phone prior to your shoot, where I will answer any of your questions and offer some tips and hints.

For Family photography , after your deposit is received I will email you a PDF Tips and Hints for a Successful Shoot Booklet.

Where do you travel?

I am based between Bourke (NSW) and Hungerford (Qld).  I will travel to most locations within a 4-hour drive, however I do travel to the Dubbo and Tamworth areas often, so can schedule a shoot around my own business trips, with no travel costs added.

Why do we have to pay for travel and accommodation?

As you can understand we live in a remote area of Australia and the distances we have to travel are large, which use a lot of fuel are long.

With weddings, I am on my feet from early in the morning until the end of the day, often with only a couple of quick breaks in between.

For safety reasons I do not like to travel home after a big day, in the dark on an isolated unsealed road.

Who will be the photographer on the day?

Kylie Fisher will be the photographer on the day, and on occasions I do have an assistant with me.

What happens if Kylie is sick on our booking date?

Over all the years I have never missed a photo shoot for any reason.   If something terrible happens and I can’t make the booking I will provide forty-eight hours’ notice and reschedule as soon as possible after.

(Weddings are the exception). I would literally have to be hospitalized for me not to turn up to a wedding.  If this occurred, I would arrange another photographer of similar experience, style and ability to cover your wedding.

Are you insured?

Absolutely!

If you need a copy of our Public Liability Insurance for a wedding reception venue, business site ETC please let me know and we will send you a copy.

Do you have a Working with Children Check?

DEFINITELY!  I also insist that a parent or guardian must be present at all times when photographing children under the age of 18 years.

Do we get every single photo that you take on the day?

My packages have the minimum number of photos supplied; however I pretty much supply every photo taken.  I do delete blurred shots, bad exposure, people blinking …..the bad shots.

Do you re touch the photos that we get?

The photos on my website are the style and look of the photos you will receive.   Each photo is looked at individually and some adjustments may be made.  I do some editing like straightening horizons, adjusting exposure, fixing highlights or removing a pimple or a fly on the face.

When will we receive our photos?

Your photos will be posted via Australian Post within 4 weeks of your booking date.

Can we print the photos when we receive them?

Definitely.  All photos are downloaded in high-resolution, JPEG format ready to print at any photo lab.

How long do you keep my photos on file?

I will keep all your photos for twelve months from the photo shoot date.

Do you offer Albums?

No, but I do offer a photo book package.  Please see the ‘Other Services’ link on our website.

Do you post our photos on Social Media?

On the day of the shoot, I do ask that you sign a Model Release form.

This gives me permission to use your photos in my marketing, but also this will allow me to show your sneak peek on social media.

I do not post photos on social media if that is your wish.

Can I recreate this photo I found on Pinterest?

I will certainly have a look at any inspiration that you may have, and I am always happy to hear your ideas, but I normally prefer to stick to my style of photography.

When is the best time to have our photos taken?

Outdoor photos are best in The Golden Hour, when the sun is low in the sky, sunrise and sunset.  If this is not possible, we can still take the photos at other times of the day.

What sort of Camera do you use?

Please see the ‘About Me, Bush Bag’ link on my website.

Is your drone registered?

Yes, my drone is registered with CASA.
